When One Monitor is Just Not Enough
Multiple monitor arrays for computers can be a great advantage for power users.
If, say, you are in college and working on your doctoral thesis, more and more of the reference material that you may need for citations and research are available online. You have a choice, you can either flip back and forth between your magnum opus and the reference material or, try and work in one and read the other by tiling them on your screen. Either way you lose time and probably develop some pretty severe eye strain with the second option.
With two monitors, you can have your source material up on the left, and your working document on the right. Both readily visible and easy to read.
